If you would like an AAFA Chapter representative, health professional, or volunteer to set up a booth, a display or to conduct an asthma/allergy talk at your organization, business, or facility, please download the attached form and either email it to [email protected] or fax it to 410-484-2043. Your request will be reviewed and someone will get back to you concerning the chapters availability on the dates requested.
Requesting a Workshop
The chapter gets many requests each year from a variety of groups asking for someone to come to present a workshop, lecture, or overview about asthma and/or allergies.
Lectures, workshops and presentations are geared specifically to each audience demographic. These can be luncheon seminars, staff training sessions, teacher training, or a formal presentation as part of a health fair.
The chapter can often provide presentations at no charge if grant funds or donations are available to cover the costs, and if the audience is within the scope of work of the grant.
In such cases, the chapter reserves the right to decline a request based on the projected attendance (25 or more), or on trainer or volunteer availability.
In other instances, the chapter may need to charge a fee to cover the cost of travel or booklets/materials.
Organizations can also purchase the easy-to-use Meeting in a Box series and other AAFA materials to present asthma and allergy information to their groups. These are materials that can be retained for future events.
